Tomatoes
The taste from the past.
Flavour
Sweet, smoky, endlessly varied
Season
Year-round
Heirloom tomatoes are the reason PuriTomato exists. These are open-pollinated, true-to-seed varieties — the tomatoes growers kept and shared for generations before flavour was traded away for shelf life and shipping weight.
We grow more than four hundred cultivars in the cool highland air of Baturiti, both hydroponically and organically, and the list keeps growing. Ribbed, striped, dusky, golden and gloriously irregular, each variety is picked ripe for a flavour that ranges from honey-sweet to deep and almost smoky.
Heirlooms are fragile by nature, so they are harvested and handled by hand and sold as a graded selection — a box that changes a little with every pick.
